The trial includes two advanced viewers for analyzing your results, a free 1-hour consultation with a wind expert, and more. This guide will help you make the most of your trial period.
Key Features Accessible in the Trial
1. Wind Simulation
Perform one full wind simulation by importing the 3D geometry of your project, running the simulation, and receiving insights into wind behavior on your design.
2. Results Viewers
Assessment Viewer: Offers a comprehensive view of wind conditions, including comfort, hazard zones, wind energy potential, and turbulence. Generate a PDF report suitable for municipal approvals.
Live Viewer: Provides real-time, hyper-local wind forecasts linked to your project site, displaying ongoing wind conditions based on up-to-date data.
3. Consultation with Wind Expert
Gain insights with a free 1-hour session with a wind specialist. Use this session to discuss wind challenges specific to your project, either before or after running your simulation.
Limitations of the Free Trial
- Duration: The trial lasts 14 days from the date of activation.
- Post-Trial Access: After 14 days, a yearly subscription is required to retain access to your simulation results.
- Feature Upgrades: Unlock advanced functionalities of the Assessment and Live Viewers by selecting “Upgrade” on the simulation results page after subscribing.
Getting Started with ArchiWind
1. Importing Project Geometry
Upload the 3D model of your project, compatible with .obj and .stl files from software like Revit or ArchiCAD. More Information at Prepare Your Input Geometries
2. Running the Simulation
- Start your free simulation by selecting the relevant options in ArchiWind.
- You’ll be notified when the simulation results are ready to view. More information at Setting up a Wind Simulation
3. Viewing and Analyzing Results
Access your simulation results through the Assessment and Live Viewers. Analyze wind conditions, comfort levels, and potential hazards to assess your design effectively. More information at Exploring ArchiWind Results
4. Scheduling Your Consultation
Schedule your complimentary 1-hour consultation with a wind expert. This session is designed to offer personalized guidance, helping you address specific project challenges related to wind.
After the Free Trial
Option 1: Upgrade to a Yearly License
- Go to ArchiWind Subscription.
- In the left menu, access the “Billing” tab.
- Request your ArchiWind Subscription here.
Subscription Details:
- Fee: Annual.
- Simulations: 2 included.
- Consultation: 30 minutes per project.
- Extra Simulations: Purchase for $400 each.
